Effects of scattering on continuum radiation from supernovae and determination of their distances

Description
The continuum radiation from supernovae is calculated from simple models in which scattering can dominate the opacity. It is shown that previous analyses of supernovae expansion rates may have led to underestimates of the Hubble constant
