Relativistic effects of wave-driven current in a plasma

  • 1. Southwestern Institute of Physics, Chengdu, Sichuan (China)

Description

Relativistic effects of wave-driven current in a plasma have been studied in earlier work employing the kinetic equation with a classical collisional term. In view of the high temperature in the plasma, the classical collisional term is neglected but the contribution of the turbulent collisional term to the distribution of the electrons is considered. Starting from the kinetic equation in its relativistic form, the moment equations are derived and the efficiency factors of the wave-driven current in both the weak and strong relativistic limits are calculated
