Radiation protection and examination of X-ray equipment. Results and conclusions. Pt. 1

The TUeV experts for more than ten years now fulfill the task of examining X-ray equipment prior to first operation or after essential modification, for compliance with the Radiation Protection Ordinance. The results of the examinations carried out in the period 1983 up to mid 1984 are compiled in this survey, part 1, and are explained with particular reference to the protection of patients against the harmful effects of X-rays, and to quality assurance in radiography. The survey covers all available X-ray equipment and classifies the results according to the various types of equipment. (orig./HP)
