Theory of surface quantum resonance properties of electron liquid in a magnetic field
Creators
Description
This study formulates for the first time kinetic equations suitable for describing surface electrons accounting for their Coulomb interaction. A new propagation effect of surface spin waves along a magentic field parallel to the sample surface for metals with an arbitrary Fermi surface is predicted. The existence conditions for such excitations are noted. The conditions for collisionless damping of such waves are investigated. A method within the scope of Silin-Landau electron liquid theory is developed that makes it possible for the first time to determine the parameters of interelectron interaction based on the analysis of experimental data on oscillations in the surface impedance in a magnetic field. Processing of experimental data made it possible to find the values of the electron interaction constants in bismuth
