A new interpretation of the Rabin and Klick diagram

Description
The author has reconsidered the Rabin and Klick diagram relating the energy to form an F centre with the ionic sizes of the halogens in alkali halides. On considering the role of the replacement collision sequence initiated by a Pooley type mechanism it is found the large dynamic scale of the diagram, the curve shape and the temperature variation of the curve are all excellently explained.
