Issues and state of the art for short bunches in e+/e- storage rings
Description
The potential of e+/e- storage rings for producing short bunches is reviewed. We begin with a review of existing storage rings and proceed to discuss possible future developments. The effects which limit the production of short bunches in a ring are also discussed. Finally, the emission of coherent synchrotron radiation is examined
