Nonlinear shift of resonance velocity in the electron cyclotron wave-particle interactions

  • 1. Department of Electrical Engineering, Nagoya University, Nagoya 464, Japan

Description

Electron cyclotron waves (whistlers) of large amplitude give rise to nonlinear shift of cyclotron-resonance velocity. Several effects of the shift on the wave propagation are discussed
