Influence of β-phase unhomogeneity on titanium martensite structure
- 1. AN Ukrainskoj SSR, Kiev. Inst. Metallofiziki
Description
Martensite structure is studied, formed by the hardening of unhomogeneous β-solid solution, its concentration unhomogeneity being formed under accelerated heating while hardening. It is established that changes in morphology and crystal geometry of martensite are observed with hardening temperature increasing. The concentration unhomogeneity of β-phase may lead to the simultaneous existence of various types of martensite together with the increased quantity of the residual β-phase
