Chromatographic separation process with pellicular ion exchange resins that can be used for ion or isotope separation and resins used in this process

Description

For separation of uranium, boron or nitrogen isotopes, an isotopic exchange is carried out betwen an isotope fixed on an ion exchange resin and another isotope of the same element in the liquid phase contacting the resin. Pellicular resins are used comprising composite particulates with an inert polymeric core and a surface layer with ion exchange groups

Abstract (French)

Pour separer notamment les isotopes de l'uranium, du bore et de l'azote, on effectue un echange isotopique entre un isotope de l'element fixe sur une resine echangeuse d'ions et un autre isotope de l'element present dans une phase liquide en contact avec la resine echangeuse d'ions. On utilise des resines pelliculaires formees de grains composites comportant une ame inerte en polymere et au moins une couche pelliculaire active comportant des groupements echangeurs d'ions
