Description
The Compton mechanism of pulsar radiation in Crab was investigated under the assumption that this mechanism operates in a source moving with a relativistic velocity around a neutron star. A detailed correlation was carried out of the theoretical radiation spectra resulting from Compton scattering of a system of relativistic electrons of longitudinal (plasma) waves, with the results of measurements of the radiation flux of the Crab pulsar in the infrared, optical, and X-ray ranges. The parameters of the radiation region have been found, namely: the dimensions of the source, the energy density of the scattered waves, the concentration and life time of the relativistic electrons. It is shown that the main obstacle to explaining the pulsar radiation as the result of Compton scattering is the high frequency in the source (1011 - 1015Hz)
