Mixed valency of layered manganites from 55Mn NMR
Description
We present zero-field 55Mn NMR spectra from two single crystals of La1-xSr1+xMnO4 (x=0 and 0.5). Both samples exhibit resonance peaks at much lower frequencies than in the pseudocubic manganites. The dependence of the peak positions on doping cannot be simply accounted for by charge transfer from Mn3+ ions
