Global environmental change: the UK research framework 1993

This report gives a description of the national programme for research into the global environmental change (GEC), and provides a framework for the way forward. It is intended to inform policy makers and the research community, and to guide individual agencies in planning their future research programmes. It has been prepared by the Inter-Agency Committee on Global Environmental Change (IACGEC), which brings together the UK research councils, government departments, the British National Space Centre and the Meteorological Office.
