A synthesis of flow phenomena in helium II
Description
Data are presented on the steady adiabatic superfluid transport of He II driven by a set of plungers through capillaries enclosed by two superleaks. These measurements were extended by allowing the normal transport to be adjusted independently. Some considerations on the hydrodynamics of the flow are given, and an attempt is made to interpret the experimental results in terms of the dynamic processes taking place in the flow path. (G.T.H.)
