Fuel storage facility in multi-pool experimental reactor

The design is described of a facility serving the storage of radioactive fuel elements. This design makes for nuclear safety, radiological safety of the operators of the multi-pool experimental reactor, and protection of the stored fuel elements against unauthorized use. The capacity of the facility can be changed to suit the needs of the experiments performed at the reactor. Owing to the location of the facility, the cost is reduced by the amount which otherwise would be required to build an interim storage facility off the reactor. (Z.S.). 4 figs
