Resistances of some high alloys to CO2-H2S corrosion at elevated temperatures

  • 1. Hikari Technical Research Division, Nippon Steel Corporation, Shimada, Hikari, Yamaguchi

Description

Corrosion resistances of a low alloy steel, 13 pct Cr steel, two duplex stainless steels and a new high Ni alloy were evaluated in the chloride-CO2-H2S environments by using solution-recirculation type autoclaves. A new Ni alloy developed on a concept of sour resistant equivalency showed superior resistance to weight loss corrosion and SCC in the serious chloride-CO2-H2S environments
