Effective fusion barrier transmission model for fusion at higher energies

  • 1. North-Eastern Hill Univ., Shillong (India). Dept. of Physics

Description

Using our recently formulated effective fusion barrier transmission model for heavy-ion fusion and the parametrisation of the fusion probability parameter in terms of equilibration time pertaining to fusion and Coulomb-nuclear trajectory time we calculate the fusion cross section σF for the 16O + 40Ca and 16O + 27Al systems from the sub-barrier region to the high-energy region. The calculated σF is in good agreement with the experimental σF. (author)
