Description

This paper describes the development and present situation with respect to technology concerning detection and location of failed fuel elements in fast neutron reactors. One outlines the current research and development programmes and describe the experiment planned at Super-Phenix to demonstrate the validity of the principle of monitoring failed fuel elements based on built-in detectors

Abstract (French)

On decrit l'evolution et l'etat actuel de la technique concernant les systemes de detection et de localisation des ruptures de gaines dans les reacteurs a neutrons rapides. On presente les programmes de recherche et developpement en cours et on evoque l'experience qu'il est envisage de realiser sur Super-Phenix, tendant a demontrer la validite du principe de la surveillance des ruptures de gaine par detecteurs integres
