Description

In recent years, in the vicinity of Rudnany rock complexes originally attributed to upper carbon have been identified as sedimentary ophiolite melange with blocks of ophiolite sequence, and in the clastic sediments of its matrix, the abundant presence of detrital chrominspinelides together with their metamorphic products has been locally found. The composition of these chromium spinelides indicates their origin from ultrabasic rocks. In the light of current knowledge, it was therefore quite surprising to find the association of chromium minerals as part of the basic rock - metagabra. In this paper, the authors provide the first information about this finding. (author)
