Description
The BISON code, a BWR dynamics code, is compared to actual transients occurred in TVO I, an ASEA-ATOM internal pump reactor. The transients comprise one test with trip of all recirculation pumps and two inadvertent pressurization transients due to component failure. These types of transients have been of particular concern in TVO I licensing analyses. When compared to the measurements, the ability of the BISON code to reliably reproduce the main reactor parameters is demonstrated
