Results of the activities of personnel dosimetry service in the People's Republic of Bulgaria for 10 years

Description

Presented are the results of activities of personnel dosimetry service. Personnel dosimetry involves persons operating with X-ray and gamma sources in medicine, industry, science and education. The analysis of results has shown that the total dose for main part of the personnel is less than 0.5 rad per year. Cases when the dose exceeds the above value come to less than 1%. Discussed are problems of the development of organization of activities of national system for mass personnel dosimetry as well as its expediency, efficiency, the regularity of dosimetry, physical principles of dose registration etc
