Charge state of Ar singly scattered from metals of 5 and 6 periods

Description

This paper is devoted to the direct experimental measurement of ionization degree value (η+) for Ar+ ions, once-scattered at metal surfaces of 5 period elements (Nb,Mo,Pd,Ag,Sn) and of 4 period elements (Ta,W,Re,Pt,Au,Pb) within 0.25≤E0≤3 keV energy interval. Simple model, which considers local disturbance of solid body electron structure at ion hard collision with surface atom, is suggested to explain the energy dependence of ionization degree
