Description
The chemistry problems encountered in the moderator systems of Madras Atomic Power Station (MAPS) -1 and 2 particularly after long outages, the probable sources of cobalt-60 in the primary heat transport (PHT) systems of MAPS-1 and 2 and the experience gained with the full scale chemical decontamination of the PHT system of MAPS-1 have been highlighted in this presentation. Further, the experience gained in the operation of the condensate polishing plant (CPP) in the secondary systems are detailed. (author). 3 refs., 3 tabs., 2 figs
