Description
The article estimates Resolution 1540 as a unique legally binding document that strengthens international law in the field of nonproliferation of mass destruction weapons. The activities of the 1540 Committee and its priorities are considered and the results of monitoring of the implementation the resolution by the United Nations member states are analyzed. (author)
