On mechanical properties of ferrite stainless steels

Description

The effect has been studied of the alloying elements Si, Mn, Ti, Cr, Cu, Ni upon the mechanical properties (ultimate strength, yield limit, relative elongation) of the ferritic OKh18T1 stainless steel. Given are the concentration dependences of mechanical properties of the steel upon the chemical composition, the type of crystalline lattice, the atomic radii of elements and the curves representing the effect of prior both heat treatment and deformation upon the mechanical properties of cold-rolled sheet. The structure and the phase transformations in steels after various kinds of heat treatment and deformation have been studied by micro-structure and electron-diffraction methods. Suggestions are offered for heat treatment conditions and the chemical composition of the OKh18T1 steel
