Endoscopic management of the benign stenosis of the bile duct

ERCP has a valuable place in the diagnosis and management of biliopancreatic diseases. Cholecystectomy is the principal cause of biliary benign injuries. The diagnosis of these injuries usually is late. Recently the Academic Medical Center of Amsterdam has described a classification for these injuries, and has shown that the results of endoscopic therapy are, at least, similar to surgical therapy becoming the first management option for these patients
