Effect of synthesis way and deviation from stoichiometry on phase composition and sodium zirconosilicophosphate

  • 1. Rostovskij-na-Donu Gosudarstvennyj Univ., Rostov-na-Donu (Russian Federation)

Description

Different variants of Na1+xZr2SixP3-xO12 synthesis - both dry ones and the ones with introduction of all or part of components through water solutions were investigated. Practically pure product (less than 0.5 mass % unbound ZrO2) at 1.8≤x≤2.1 was prepared by zirconium hydroxide precipitation in aqueous suspension of silicic acid with subsequent isolation of the precipitate and its high-temperature interaction with sodium carbonate and dihydrophosphate. As a result, the synthesis takes place via formation of tetragonal ZrO2 and previously unknown intermediate phase, omitting crystallization of monoclinic ZrO2
