The reactor accident in Fukushima Daiichi. The consequence of design deficiencies and inadequate safety engineering
Description
The contribution discusses the reactor accident in Fukushima Daiichi with respect to the consequence of design deficiencies and inadequate safety engineering. The accident progression is described together with the classification by the Japanese authorities according the INIS scale. The safety relevant design differences between the plants in Fukushima Daiichi and German reactors are specified. The actual situation in the Fukushima Daiichi power plant is shortly summarized.
