Description
The lifetime of the yrast 10+ level at 3115 keV in /sup 132/Ba has been measured as tau = 10.8(9) ns. A pulsed /sup 13/C beam with a pulse width of 2.2 ns was thereby used in the reaction /sup 122/Sn( /sup 13/C,3n)/sup 132/Ba. The backbending behavior of the yrast band and the B(E2;10+→8+) values are compared with those in neighboring N = 76 isotones
