Acceptable gonadal shield

Description

There is evidence that gonadal shielding is not practiced as recommended in a significant number of pertinent roentgen examinations. Social acceptability may be an important factor in such a device. An acceptable shield has been designed and tested ; its further improvement and use are recommended.
