Description
The structural integrity of reactor coolant channels is ensured by regular inspection of calandria pressure tubes during normal shut-down of the reactor. The in-service inspection equipment discussed here is intended to minimise the total inspection time for coolant channels. This achieves minimum radiation exposure to inspection personnel and reactor down time. The paper highlights the controls used for inspection probe head positioning of the in-service inspection equipment. (author). 5 figs
