Description
Equations to calculate envelope curves of load-displacement relationships for nuclear reactor buildings subjected to strong ground motions are proposed. Lateral displacement is computed from the sum of shear displacement, flexural displacement, and rotational displacement at the base. The computed envelope curves show good agreement with the experiments. (orig.)
