Charged multiplicity in b quark event

  • 1. National Lab. for High Energy Physics, Tsukuba, Ibaraki (Japan)

Description

The algorithm which determined the secondary vertex point in each jet was developed using the information from the VENUS Vertex Chamber. The charged multiplicity was measured for b quark events which were tagged by requiring the long distance between the interaction point and the secondary vertex point. The difference of charged multiplicity between b quark events and light quark events has been measured to be 2.0 ± 0.7 ± 1.0, preliminary. (author)
