Conversion electron Moessbauer spectroscopy study of 57Fe ion implanted into single crystals of graphite

Description
The aim of this work is to explore the potential and surface sensitivity of back-scatter conversion electron Moessbauer spectroscopy (CEMS) in the study of iron ions implanted into the surface regions of graphite. The results of heat treatment are also given. CEMS is capable of detecting about 101657Fe atoms/cm2 implanted into the surface (down to a depth of about 1000 A) of graphite. One main type of iron site predominates in the implanted material. (P.S.)
