Description
The method of simulated annealing is used to solve the Ginzburg-Landau equations numerically. The authors also derived a viral theorem for the Ginzburg-Landau theory which establishes a direct relation between the magnetic induction, the external magnetic field and the average kinetic and field energies. The theorem is extended to the presence of inhomogeneities as well. The magnetic properties of superconductors type II are obtained by means of this simulated annealing method and the viral theorem
