Description
We present an overview of 195Pt NMR data for platinum catalysts on silica, alumina, titania and carbon carriers. The fraction of atoms at the surface of the metal particles (the dispersion) can be derived from the spectra. Effects of surface treatment (oxido-reduction, hydrogen absorption, strong metal-support interaction) are discussed in terms of the electronic local densities of states at the Fermi energy level.
