Description

This paper reviews the authors' work on single-chamber in-situ laser processing of Y-Ba-Cu-O and Bi(Pb)-Ca-Sr-Cu-O films on a variety of substrates including (100)SrTiO3, LaAlO3, MgO, ZrO2(Y), and silicon. Using this method, substrates are laser-cleaned in- situ, followed by deposition of buffer layers (only for substrates such as Si) and high-Tc Superconductors. The details of pulsed laser evaporation, thin film growth, microstructures and properties are discussed
