Description
The diagnosis of symptomatic talocalcaneal coalition requires an imaging study that demonstrates precise anatomic detail. Computed tomography affords the best method for the diagnosis. This essay reviews the computed tomography anatomy of talocalcaneal coalitions in several projections and stresses the routine use of the angled coronal and direct sagittal projections. (orig.)
