Description
Very dense hybrid front-end electronics including cooling system for the ZEUS vertex detector were developed, produced and tested. The wide range of gain and pole-zero adjustments make the solution very flexible and useful for other detector applications. The performance was tested the laboratory and at the vertex chamber under beam conditions as well. The radiation hardness test of the preamplifiers showed a decrease of the gain of the worst channel of about 10% for a dose of about 3 MRad. (orig.)
