Quantum sine-Gordon equation and quantum solitons in two space-time dimensions
Description
The construction and detailed properties of a new model of a self-interacting, relativistic scalar Bose field in two space-time dimensions, the quantum sine-Gordon equation, are studied. This discussion of the sine-Gordon theory provides a useful illustration of the success and limitations of renormalized perturbation theory. (P.J.S.)
