A time reversal violating interaction in the two-nucleon system

  • 1. Bochum Univ. (Germany, F.R.). Inst. fuer Theoretische Physik

Description

Based on a direct coupling of the nucleon, photon and pion field introduced by Clement and Heller the authors calculated a time reversal noninvariant nucleon-nucleon potential. It has the pion range, does not conserve total spin and acts only between a neutron and a proton. Its effect on certain nucleon-nucleon observables sensitive to time reversal violation are evaluated.
