Description

It contains the reports of three projects; the nuclear technology, advanced maintenance technology and environmental and innovative technologies. Central Research Institute of Electric Power Industry (CRIEPI) studied the effect of crystal particle size of raw materials on the stress corrosion cracking (SCC) and obtained the result that the small particle size decreased SCC generation. The numerical model of FAC rate of pipe reproduced that the FAC rate of pipe was decreased with increasing the concentration of dissolved oxygen. GETFLOWS was able to apply the experimental results of gas permeability test of bentonite. The result of combustion tests of the metal fuel (U-20 wt% Pu-10 wt% Zr) pin with MA showed almost the same results of U-Pu-Zr metal fuel. Spent MOX fuel was reduced to metals by our electric reduction method. The mice irradiated with high exposure decreased more large number of red blood cell than mice irradiated with high exposure after irradiation with low exposure. The reasonable exemption levels of the surface contamination of eleven kinds of metals are estimated. Increasing the concentration of oxygen 21 to 25% in the gasifier materials decreased the char production percent of coal gasification and increased temperature of combustor. Our original method decreased the concentration of some kinds of defects in SiC epitaxial layer much less than the limiting concentration. Total solid type lithium secondary battery was developed. CO2 emission from the foreign trade of Japan, England, USA, and China was illustrated. The safe operation of today's light water reactor, establishment of a nuclear fuel cycle, earthquake resistance of nuclear power plant, development of the next generation reactor and cycle technologies, the geological features in the neighborhood of CO2 emission resources in Japan, the effects of warming on the electric power facilities, and the next generation grid technology are investigated.
