Investigation on acoustic leak detection methods in liquid metal fast breeder reactor steam generator. Pt.1: Characteristics of signals

Description
Based on the latest experimental results come from the sodium test loop, properties of leak noise in a steam generator of a liquid metal fast breeder reactor (LMFBR) and all kinds of background noises are analyzed and discussed, such as sodium flow noise, water flow noise, pump and fan noises. A reasonable assumption about how to pick up the leak noise is put forward, and which will provide and experimental base for improving the sensitivity of the acoustic leak detection system
