Effect of nitrogen dioxide and temperature on the properties of lead phthalocyanine in polypyrrole

Description
Lead phthalocyanine (PbPc)-polypyrrole (PPy) films were fabricated by the spin coating technique. As the PbPc content in the films increased, the thickness, porosity and NO2 sensitivity increased. The NO2 sensitivity increased as the testing temperature increased up to 170 deg. C, but decreased tremendously at 240 deg. C due to appreciable desorption and chemical degradation. The films showed good recovery and fast response at high temperature, but were also susceptible to deterioration, as confirmed by SEM, XRD and UV-visible spectroscopy
