Description
Objective: To investigate the efficacy of radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy of different regimen in the treatment of loca-advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC). Methods: Eighty patients with loco-advanced NPC (grade III, IV a) were divided into two groups randomly, each 40 cases. One was the research group treated by Taxotere (TXT) plus Oxaliplatin (L-OHP) combined with radiotherapy. The other was the control group delivered with Cisplatin (DDP)plus Cetrovorum factor (CF) and Fluorouracil (5-Fu) combined with radiotherapy. Radiation was radical and chemotherapy was presented 4-5 cycles, one cycle every 3 weeks. Results: The occurrences of nausea and vomiting or mucositis in the research group were less than those in the control group significantly (P<0.05). The regressions of nasopharyngeal primary sites and Lymph nodes of neck were similar between two groups (P>0.05). Conclusions: The regimen of TXT+L-OHP combined with radiotherapy is superior to DDP+CF+5-Fu plus radiotherapy in the treatment of loca-advanced NPC with similar short-term effects and less complications.
