Description

This study shows that the early administration of APSAC in acute myocardial infarction improves the left ventricular function with a higher patency of the infarct-related artery. This is associated with a reduced defect size as assessed by rest thallium SPECT. This method appears to be a suitable one to quantify the infarct size, with a good reproducibility, beside its value in detecting and localizing the site and the extent of a myocardial infarction.
