Focusing properties of a magnetic field of multiorbit betatrons

Description

The article studies the peculiarities of particles focusing by a magnetic field of a multiorbit betatron in which the equilibrium orbits are in the middle plane of a one running clearance. It is shown that in a two-orbit betatron it is appropriate to use a controlling field in the vicinity of the second orbit which should be taken into account in the design of electromagnet and accelerating chamber of multiorbit betatrons
