Double-differential neutron emission cross sections of 51V, 181Ta, natW and 238U at 14 MeV neutron incidence energy

Description
For elements used in fusion reactor blanket and shield designs double-differential neutron emission cross sections were measured by time-of-flight spectrometry at a pulsed d-T neutron generator. The obtained data are compared with evaluated library data. Discrepancies are discussed in context with a statistical model of multistep-compound and multistep-direct processes. (orig.)
