Chemical effects of neutron induced nuclear reactions in KIO4 at different pH of dissolution
Description
Dissolution effect on recoil 128I retention in the form of IO4- ion following (n,γ) process in potassium periodate target has been studied. A remarkable variation in retention is found both in solid and solution phases with the pH of dissolution. A suitable mechanism is suggested to explain the observed results. (author)
