Maintenance of environmentally acceptable condition of nuclear plant water recycling system when applying «blowing» technology of the Rostov NPP cooling reservoir

Description

The results of Rostov NPP cooling reservoir blowing for six years are considered. Characteristics of the Tsimlyansk reservoir and cooling pond in regards to chemical composition, thermal regime and species diversity are analyzed. Conclusion is made that there is no negative impact of cooling pond waters on chemical composition, thermal regime and structural and functional characteristics of the aquatic communities of the Tsimlyansk reservoir: there is no the excess of pollutant standards in the reservoir; water discharge from cooling pond has no effect on hydrochemical regime of Tsimlyansk reservoir; salt content in cooling pond is reduced for 4% in average (sulfates – for 7.7; chlorides – for 5.5; copper – for 29.2%)

Abstract (Russian)

Рассмотрены результаты проведения продувки водоема-охладителя Ростовской АЭС за шесть лет. Проанализированы характерные особенности Цимлянского водохранилища и водоема-охладителя по химическому составу, термическому режиму и видовому разнообразию. Сделан вывод об отсутствии негативного воздействия вод водоема-охладителя на химический состав, термический режим и структурно-функциональные характеристики водных сообществ Цимлянского водохранилища: превышений установленных нормативов загрязняющих веществ в водохранилище не зафиксировано; сброс продувочных вод не оказал отрицательного воздействия на гидрохимический режим Цимлянского водохранилища; солесодержание в водоеме-охладителе снизилось в среднем на 4% (сульфатов - на 7,7; хлоридов - на 5,5; меди - на 29,2%)
