Hyperfine structure of Pd105, Co59, nuclear spin of Cosup(60m) and radio frequency Zeeman effect in S2-molecules
Description
By using the method of Atomic Beam magnetic resonance, Hyperfine Structure measurements of two low-lying multiplets of Pd105 in the configuration ....4d95s and three low-lying multiplets of Co59 in the configuration ....3d74s2 have been measured. In addition to the gsub(J)-values of the above state, the gsub(J)-value of 1D2-state of palladium has also been measured. The molecular-beam magnetic resonance has been also used to study the Zeeman effect of the rotational states of S2-molecules. Results for the ΔJ = 0, Msub(J) → -Msub(J) transitions observed in these molecules are compared with the computed transition frequencies as predicted by the intermediate coupling theory. Facilities available at A.E.R.E., Harwell for measuring spins and moments of short-lived radioactive isotopes are used to measure the nuclear spin of Cosup(60m). (author)
